Milan: Travel Diary!
Another travel diary, this time to the fashion capital-Milan.
The highlight: I had the best food ever! :D Nothing beats Italy. All hail.
1) List of places: That’s my list of places on google maps, a friend from Milan helped me to make this list, feel free to use and share it with your friends: Pulkit’s List
2) Getting around:
I was there for two days, so I got myself a 48-hour transport pass which costed me 8.25 EUR, it was valid for the whole of Milan and covered every mode of transport: buses, metro & tram. You can get it at any metro station or from the automated ticketing machines, inside a bus or from convenient stores.
3) Accommodation:
I stayed at Hostel Colours which is quite well located, just a stop after Piola (The technical university of Milan), it’s very good for the price. A stay for two nights costed me 45 EUR including breakfast.
4) Pictures:
As always, I clicked a lot of pictures, I am sharing a few below. The rest you can check it out on Instagram: @pulkitbatra1994
Aperitivo (It’s a must when in Italy!)
Duomo (Milan Cathedral-it’s just majestic)
Duomo has access to the roof, so you can enjoy the skyline
Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II (The oldest shopping passage)
Arco della Pace
Leonardo Da Vinci
Porta Ticinese (You can enjoy a wholesome pasta and beer just by this canal!)
Sunset at the cathedral (it’s magical, don’t miss it!)
Sempione Park
FC Centrale (Who wants an apple? :P)
5) Food:
Well, do try out Aperitivo, it’s really good and must-visits include Bar Magenta and Bar Moscow Mule
Pizza by the slice and draft beer at Spontini
6) Alps:
If you will be travelling via road from Germany, you can plan your trip via the majestic Alps and enjoy the views. Switzerland has the best road infrastructure, despite the terrain. I loved it!
Alps “It is like falling in love. If you can notice, the grass is greener, the sky is bluer and the air is fresher. I don’t know if it is the magic of the Alps or an emotional gravitational pull for the soul, but what I know is, it is truly Paradise on Earth!” ~Shahla Khan
Have fun and enjoy your time in Milan!
Love always <3

“Don’t say you don’t have enough time or enough money to change the world. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Gandhi, Michelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci and Jesus Christ.” ~ Shannon L. Alder
